The Little Boy
The little boy says, "when I am a big boy". The big boy says, "when i grow up". All grown up he then says, "when I get married". Then once married he says, "when I retire". Finally, when he retires he looks back on the landscape of his life and he realizes he missed all of it. He didn't live it, because to live is to be engulfed by every single day... to live is to be captured by every hour, it is to be involved in every moment.
Less impressed, more involved.
*The story is from the book How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie. The last sentence is Matthew McConaughey's quote from his book Greenlights.
